I’ve worked on every aspect of feature films from ideas to distribution. And I’ve decided to change when I shoot 3 WISHES to this year along with another feature to be modeled after I’M TOTALLY FINE. They’ll be in the microbudget space done ala EL MARIACHI from Robert Rodriguez. I plan to scale after that. Okay. A little travel before I settle into my forever home.

And yes – I know how to work with bigger budgets since we made MY APOCALYPTIC THANKSGIVING closer to the $250K range.

I’ll also tell you my philosophy towards stories:

I treat my characters like set pieces. You know car chases, big explosions, fancy stunts. etc!?!

Well… Dudes!?!

I don’t have the budgets for those. Visual effects also age quickly when you don’t have Hollywood budgets.

So?

I love digging into nuanced characters with lots of layers in simple stories.

Yup!!! I love giving actors lots to work with. Sooooooooo very fun.
