Hellllllllllloooo!
I’ve been long playing around with what to have for breakfast. It’s about finding the healthy combo of food sticking to my ribs without being too heavy.
And??? I finally found it.
I use oatmeal or some other hot cereal for the base. Quinoa too. The water is two parts to one. I always stick in extra water cuz it tastes dried out otherwise. And if it boils over and makes a mess? I know that I have the right combo. Bahaha!!
A tip that I’ve heard about Quinoa? It’s best to rinse it off before cooking it. I use my screen that I got for rice.
Nuts of some kind are the other protein. This is their meat in the cereal and almond milk. I’ve used all sorts of nuts. You do you if pick some.
A hand full of raisins for more chewiness and sweetness. The vanilla that I use also has some cane sugar to give a little sweet kick.
As for the rest of the spices: ginger, cinnamon, curry, turmeric, and salt? I throw in some dashes and call it a day.
Nope. I’m not saying that the brands listed are the BEST ever. They’re what I had available when I bought them.
And???
I feel so much better cuz I’m eating a taste sensation that feels solid. And I almost always through in a piece of fruit to complete the meal. Sure. I can add eggs, etc. if I’m especially hunger. BUT BUT BUT this is generally enough.
How about you? Any secret weapons in the breakfast department?
As always: Have a glamorous day for fun!
