Fabulous Fridays: Getting Organized Myth

Fabulous Fridays: Getting Organized Myth

Hello!

My mom can attest: my long time battle cry?

I’m getting organized.

When in truth?

Total load of shit.

Cuz getting organized is NEVER one and done. Nope. It’s this ongoing battle from Hell that never ceases. As much as I want things to get off my plate? Some things never will.

BUT BUT BUT!?!

All that promotion around free feedback? I have people planned for those hours. I’m relieved cuz a lot of my hours are done. It’s a matter of doing the paperwork.

And my bigger thing??? This is my pattern: GO ALL IN. Can work for some things. Absolutely.

Most things? A little at a time is by far much better since they tend to be cumulative. That’s the method behind me doing my long practices: They allow me to rethink about how much I get done when working in chunks rather than big blocks.

After all?

It can be disheartening to say: I only worked on something for 15 minutes today when I could have done five hours. Yes. I feel this in my bones since I loooooooooooooooooooooooove working on things for long periods of time.

EXCEPT!?!

This practice of writing a daily blog? Totally helped me to start to simplify. My time being a sample gal helped even more. Stand up and Toastmasters too. Why? I can have all the information in the world. If I can’t communicate it effectively? Doesn’t matter.

AND?

Putting the pressure on myself to GO BIG OR GO HOME with everything I do? Leads to messy apartments and big thighs. So?

I admit being effective isn’t the same as erasing myself in the name of some big goal since the fallout is MASSIVE.

Can anyone else relate?

As always: Have a glamorous day for fun!!
