I want to let you know that the start date for my short film class through Billings Public Schools Community Education has changed to April 23. Here’s the registration link: Class

There are only five spaces left.

We’ll make two short films in the class.

Why Two short films instead off the more standard of “one and done????”

One and done is a trap.

Doing something the first time is just learning the process. And deciding if you’re any good at something or even like it by only doing it once? Totally unfair for you cuz it demands perfection right out the gate. When you’re only at the training wheels stage.

And the camera in the photo? I’ve shot 14 short films on it. Sure. I think that they’re at Lumix GH7 now.

So what? It works. And? It’s the resource that’s available to me. That’s the other part about worrying about perfection. It’s like everything must be lined up perfectly before moving forward.

Nope.

So????

This class is about meeting folks where they’re at. And we’re doing it twice to help us dig in deeper rather than stressing ourselves out with only doing one short.
