I miss speaking Spanish on the regular. My fancy pants were able to do that on the regular in Los Angeles.
In Billings?
Not so much
It’s more about having to seek it out not an every day occurrence cuz most folks around me spoke it.
Parts of Los Angeles? All Spanish no real English.
Very cool.
My favorite Spanish phrase:
Lo siento. Mi espanol es muy divertito.
Translation:
Sorry. My Spanish is funny.
It’s just honestly so much fun to speak in languages besides just English. I know some French, Tagalog, Korean, Mandarin, Japanese, German, and bits of other languages.
And?
I regularly ask folks how to say “thank you” in languages. It’s such a delight.
Learning these different languages also has taught me a ton about English. Yup. It’s improved my writings and speaking.
As an aside? That yummy soup is red pozole with Lime Jarritos. Love it!!
