I’ve loved loud guitars since hearing Quiet Riot at 12. The adults being offended? Sealed the deal for me.

And when I discovered punk music and mosh pits? Heaven.

I’m beyond excited to say: Yup. My fancy pants get to see Black Flag tonight at the Pub Station.

I know! I know! I know! I’ve heard folks say that it’s not the REAL Black Flag without Keith Morris or Henry Rollins or even Dez Cadena. I can’t remember the other singer’s name.

Huh.

Greg Ginn started the band. He’s performing with it tonight.

So?

I’m seeing the REAL Black Flag. Sure. It would have been awesome to have seen them with their early singers. I’m confident that it would have been different than what’s happening tonight.

BUT BUT BUT

I don’t give a fuck. It’s going to be what’s it going to be.

And to protect my toes? I’m wearing my cowboy boots not my Birkenstocks like I did at 18.
