Heeeeeelllllllloooo!

As I was walking and filming my little video for today? I burst into a beat here.

And why does that little video of me walking down an uneven road matter? Cuz I’m grateful to have done a whoooooole lot of living before I dug into my art for real. Like seriously!? God bless the folks willing to give their artistry at go at young age. There’s plenty of value in that for absolute sure.

Here’s the thing about me: I’ve known since three years old about wanting to sing country music and wanting to make movies since watching RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK in childhood.

Sure. I started writing and creating stories in childhood…

BUT BUT BUT

I had some shit to do first. And all that living? It’s given me sooooo much fodder for my art. I joke about having a hat that’s “of the people.” And well? I am of the people cuz I’ve just never been handed anything

EXCEPT?

Stubbornness.

And that’s the real secret to art.

Yes. Learning your craft is involved.

And the secret to that?

Sticking with it through the good times and bad.

A whole lot of stubbornness helps with that.

That part about living a full life first?

Absolutely helped me to build that. So? All that hell you went through? Helped you help yourself to be able to keep moving.
