We finally had a winter storm this last weekend. Here’s my video of snow falling… Snow

As much as I don’t like snow, I’m happy for the snow cuz my stepdad bought me snow tires at the beginning of winter. And to say that handle my Los Angeles tires????? Yup. As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, my tires had been slashed when I was at work. No. It’s not based on an exciting story like an enraged ex-lover or anything that dynamic. If you know Los Angeles, it happened at my old job where we worked at a drug store across the street from the Old Big Lots store on Slauson and Western Ave. That corner is rough to put it mildly,

And since I was beyond low to the ground? I bought the cheapest tires possible at a local tire shop. The fun part??? It felt like I was surfing last year when driving on the snow. Though? We got a shit ton more than this year. My stepdad found this unacceptable. He worried like a motherfucker that I would land in the ditch. So? He got me some snow tires.

Dudes? It’s wild what a difference tires can make, They grip on the ice and go through the piled up snow. Wild.

So?

I’ll write a country song about snow tires. Why the fuck not? Country songs are about all sorts of things like trucks, cowboy boots, and all sorts of practical things. Snow tires surely work.

On a different note…

You may have noticed the videos over the last few Mondays. There is a method to my madness… If you may recall, I talked about being in pre-production for my microbudget feature 3 WISHES. As I plan to be most of my crew if not all, I’m in the process of working with my various cameras to think about how I compose my shots. And I’ve found the room to breathe with my longer rituals and practices. Cuz I don’t want to just slop together my microbudget features. This opportunity to play is freeing up so much mental space to come up with something better than what I thought of when I first decided to make 3 WISHES a microbudget venture. Very cool!!!
