Two Moon Park…

Two Moon Park…

Hellllllloooooo!

My mom introduced me to Two Moon Park forever ago. It’s in the part of Billings called “The Heights.”

And today’s picture? It’s from one of the various trails. And yes, Mom – main trail not just game trail. I’ve seen snakes, field mice, bugs, and lots of deer there. Ample evidence of beavers too. The Yellowstone River also runs along it. I used to walk a dog there. She loved jumping in what I call “duck poop” pond. It’s stagnant water where ducks hang out and poop. Smells like holy hell in the car. Totally brutal.

To say that I love Two Moon Park?? Understatement.

But why would a city girl love such an untamed place? Cuz I make no bones about it – my true nature is a city girl…

It’s just so magical to drive past a genuine ramen house and Target to land in untamed wilderness Sure. They groom it some to keep it from not being too big of a fire hazard. Cuz fires are a real thing in Montana during the summer. As the population is a heck of a lot more sparse here in Montana, it just don’t make the news like California fires do.

Sure. You hear some “city” noises when you’re in Two Moon. But I tend to stick next to the Yellowstone for as long as I can. Its continuous streaming feels comforting rather than intrusive. I shot a little video of my favorite spot next to the Yellowstone here. I’ve done breathwork here. Why yes… I also can picture making this a great place for a serial killer to stack bodies in the little concrete silo for a movie.

But being a practical producer? I’d have to commission an environment impact report since this is public land. AND? I imagine that it would no longer be so magical. Why? I figure dealing with a film team and all that mud would be a bitch. Cuz yes. That spot has mud year round. I know this from having visited this spot year round.

It also feels awesome to just be walking around outside. And on days when the sun is shining? Chef’s kiss.

I almost always run into dogs of all kinds. Yup. It’s truly an awesome place for dogs.

And I almost always feel grounded back in myself to tackle whatever tasks ahead of me. Since today is my day off? I’ve got a long list.

As always: Have a glamorous day for fun!!
