Happy Thursday!

Yes. I know… I know… People say that posting on Tuesdays is best from a marketing perspective except that means everyone posts on Tuesdays. And that’s a shit ton of noise to cut through. Not necessarily that you would be interested in my noise above all noises. That’s totally cool. I just want to give you a better chance to reach my noise in case you are. And I love Thursdays for some reason. Silly. Totally true. Who cares? Thursdays are my day. But I’ll give Tuesdays something: They make a much better first name than Thursday. What would the nickname be? Thur? Ugh.

I digress.

Here’s the biggest deal: I have a damn fun time making CAPTAIN TOLERANCE AND PLANT WHISPERER VS GLOBAL WARMING. Here’s a link to the finished short movie !!!! Yippie!

I posted about the disability film challenge time. And if you haven’t ever participated: DO IT!!!!!!!!! The cool part is that you can be anywhere in the world to participate if you have access to a camera or even a smartphone since they have cameras. ‘Cuz here’s the thing: They’re looking to present disabilities beyond the usual hand wringing. God knows that this is true for me especially with how bipolar disorder gets represented in the media: MY BIGGEST MORAL DILEMMA IS IF I TAKE MY MEDS!?! This is such utter and complete bullshit because I also happen to be a fashion risk. Just saying.

So, I plan to participate with this film challenge until it ends or I drop dead whatever comes first as the old saying goes. I’ll also say that it was wacky of me to also shoot another short in the middle of the challenge except I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t make it as difficult as possible for myself. But something incredibly cool came out of that: I didn’t have time to torment myself about my script or edits in the way that I normally ‘cuz shit had to get done. Plus, I feel far more prepared to participate in the 48 hour type film challenges. Why not? It’s a chance to have fun getting shit done in a short period of time. No. I won’t be the best filmmaker of the bunch. Screw it! I’ll improve!
